JPMorgan Chase & Co. said Monday that a Southern California bank teller's putative wage-and-hour class action should be transferred to a larger, similar case or be dismissed outright because, among other things, the suit names the wrong defendant.

A JPMorgan Chase & Co. teller has brought a class action accusing the bank of shaving pennies off wages and overtime pay and sometimes misstating tellers' working hours entirely.
