A project supervisor who conspired to illegally remove asbestos from the 19-story Equitable Building in Des Moines, Iowa, should be sentenced only to probation, his attorney argued Monday in Iowa federal court.

The owner of the 19-story Equitable Building in Des Moines, Iowa, pled guilty to two charges related to the illegal removal of asbestos during a renovation of the landmark property, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.
