A former Chicago Public Schools teacher was sentenced Monday to a year and one day in federal prison for stealing $732,000 from Southwest Airlines in a scheme through which he paid for fraudulent travel vouchers and resold them to others.

Forex Firm Principal Gets 17 Years For $17M Fraud
An ex-principal for a defunct foreign currency trading firm received a 17-year prison sentence Thursday in Illinois for operating a $17 million fraud scheme, learning of his punishment the day after his co-defendant was sentenced to 12 1/2 years for his role in the plot.
