UK Lawyer Disbarred For KBR-Related Bribery Scheme
A former London-based lawyer for KBR Inc. who was sentenced to nearly two years in prison for Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations stemming from his role in a scheme to bribe Nigerian government officials for natural gas contracts has been disbarred, the U.K.'s legal regulator said Tuesday.

Former KBR CEO, Atty Headed To Jail Over Bribery Claims
KBR Inc.'s former CEO was sentenced Thursday to 30 months in prison while a lawyer for the engineering giant was ordered to forfeit more than $148 million and given a 21-month term for their roles in a scheme to bribe Nigerian government officials for natural gas contracts.
