Continental Casualty Co. on Monday escaped a suit brought by Montello Inc. after an Oklahoma judge determined Montello could not prove the insurer owed it coverage for hundreds of asbestos claims under a policy for which it no longer has the paperwork.

An Oklahoma federal judge on Friday partially denied Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.'s motion to dismiss a complaint by Montello Inc., keeping the insurance company embroiled in a dispute over coverage for hundreds of asbestos claims against Montello.
