Purchases of liquid crystal display products from LG Electronics USA Inc. and others will not factor into the damages recovery for buyers alleging price-fixing across the LCD industry, after a California federal judge on Tuesday found no evidence that these companies participated in the alleged conspiracy.

The California federal judge overseeing multidistrict litigation concerning a purported conspiracy to fix prices for liquid crystal display panels again ruled Tuesday that LG Display Co. Ltd. can't dodge claims based on its actions after it reported itself to authorities.
