Bloomberg LP didn't commit copyright infringement when it distributed a recording and transcript of a conference call between Swatch Group Ltd. executives and analysts, a New York federal judge ruled Thursday, holding that the publication of the recording was "fair use."

A New York federal judge on Tuesday refused to toss Swiss watchmaker Swatch Group Management Services Ltd.'s lawsuit accusing business news service Bloomberg LP of violating its copyright by recording an earnings call with analysts and posting the transcript online.
