Reising Ethington PC on Thursday escaped malpractice allegations raised by an inventor who claimed the intellectual property boutique failed to properly advise him on a pair of trademark and patent matters, after a Michigan federal judge found the man had waited too long to bring his claims.

Intellectual property boutique Reising Ethington Barnes Kisselle PC asked a Michigan federal court Thursday for summary judgment in a $15 million malpractice suit by an inventor who claims the firm failed to properly advise him on trademark and patent cases involving a board game he created.
