An ex-McKinsey & Co. consultant whose conviction for violating a trade embargo against Iran was vacated by the Second Circuit deserves no prison time for false statement convictions the appeals court left intact, his counsel told a New York federal judge on Thursday.

Prosecutors plan to retry a former McKinsey & Co. consultant whose conviction for violating a U.S. embargo by transferring money to Iran was partly dismissed in October, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hernandez said in documents filed in New York federal court Thursday.
