Underwriter Can't Shake Axiom Lanham Act Suit
An Illinois federal judge on Thursday stripped an abuse of process claim from Axiom Insurance Managers Agency LLC's lawsuit against an Indemnity Insurance Corp. unit, but preserved other claims alleging its rival violated the Lanham Act and improperly disparaged Axiom to hurt its business.

Holland & Knight Defied Protective Order, Insurer Says
Indemnity Insurance Corp. of D.C. asked an Illinois federal court Monday to block Holland & Knight LLP from representing an insurance rival in a disparagement suit, saying the firm violated a protective order and disclosed Indemnity's sensitive financial information.

Rival Filed Sham Suits, Insurance Manager Says
Axiom Insurance Managers Agency LLC filed a Lanham Act suit Friday in Illinois against a competitor that allegedly hit it with frivolous litigation and reported false financial information to insurance regulators, including a $50 million surplus Axiom says never existed.
