A mother who filed a putative class action requesting monetary damages from Chuck E. Cheese's for allegedly promoting gambling to children withdrew the federal suit Thursday and filed claims in California state court seeking certain games' removal from the restaurants.

Chuck E. Cheese's urged a California federal court earlier this month to toss a mother's putative class action alleging the pizza chain's popular games of chance are actually illegal and addictive gambling devices.
