Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. settled a collective action Tuesday in Nebraska brought by current and former plant workers who accused the company of failing to pay them for time spent performing tasks off the production line.

A Nebraska federal judge on Tuesday ruled that Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. workers who have brought a collection action over their donning-and-doffing time do not need to be paid for putting on safety equipment, a partial win for Cargill.
