A Texas federal judge on Monday tossed a coverage battle between Par Electrical Contractors Inc. and four insurers over litigation stemming from the 2007 San Diego County wildfires, ruling a California court was best-suited to hear the claims.

Ace Property and Casualty Insurance Co. sued Quanta Services Inc. and an electrical-contractor subsidiary in Texas on Friday, seeking a ruling that it does not have to cover the companies in legal actions over California wildfires in 2007.
