A Florida federal judge on Thursday rejected a motion by hip-hop label DM Records Inc. to schedule a conference to settle a copyright suit against Warner Music Group Corp. over allegedly unauthorized uses of DM songs based on an expired contract.

Hip-hop record label DM Records Inc. filed a copyright infringement suit in Florida on Monday against Warner Music Group Corp., alleging the music giant is selling unauthorized digital downloads and ring tones of DM songs based on an expired contract.
