A Washington federal judge on Monday tossed a second suit by Patton Boggs LLP that sought approval to represent a group of Ecuadorean environmental claimants suing Chevron Corp. and accused the oil giant of interfering with the firm's contract with its clients.

Patton Boggs LLP filed a new suit against Chevron Corp. and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Washington on Wednesday, in the parties' feud over whether Patton can represent Ecuadorean plaintiffs suing the oil giant for alleged environmental degradation.
