Judge Trims Subcontractor Suit Over Nuclear Site Cleanup
Portage Inc. convinced a Kentucky federal judge Wednesday to eliminate two claims brought by subcontractor CAF & Associates Inc., but failed to nix claims of fraud and misrepresentation after the energy contractor backed out of an agreement to hire CAF employees to clean up a nuclear site.

Subcontractor Sues Portage Over DOE Nuclear Cleanup
A subcontractor hired to help salvage a troubled nuclear cleanup effort in Kentucky sued Portage Inc. on Thursday, saying the prime contractor broke an agreement to hire 20 of its employees under a $191.6 million U.S. Department of Energy contract.
