An Ohio federal judge on Friday approved a $240,000 settlement and class decertification in a 20-year-old suit against Monsanto Research Corp. and another ex-operator of a nuclear weapons facility alleging radioactive emissions from the complex lowered property values.

Monsanto Research Corp. and a fellow ex-operator of the Mound Laboratory nuclear weapons facility have failed to decertify a class of Ohio residents claiming that radioactive emissions from the research facility lowered property values, an order posted Friday said.
