Lab equipment maker NuAire Inc. on Tuesday ended its suit accusing Merrill Manufacturing Corp. of reneging on a contract by selling faulty parts for use in NuAire lab culture incubators and triggering a $1.8 million recall, with the companies saying they'd reached a confidential settlement.

A Minnesota federal judge found Monday that lab equipment maker NuAire Inc. had sufficiently claimed that certain door catches Merrill Manufacturing Corp. sold it were not made of stainless steel as per an agreement and led to a recall of NuAire incubators with allegedly defective door catches.
