Sprint Nextel Corp. has worked out a major dispute with mobile satellite service company DBSD North America Inc. and proposed buyer Dish Network Corp. over its $104 million claim for bandwidth clearing fees in DBSD's New York bankruptcy, Sprint announced Monday.

Bankrupt mobile satellite service company DBSD North America Inc. said Wednesday that it shouldn't have to reimburse Sprint Nextel Corp. $110 million because Sprint's claim relies on a flawed interpretation of a federal regulatory order governing satellite spectrums.

Sprint Nextel Corp. on Wednesday asked a New York bankruptcy judge to require DBSD North America Inc. to reimburse the telecom giant for its $110 million share of the costs of clearing the spectrum to make room for DBSD and other mobile satellite services.
