Michaels Class Attys' Fees Slashed In ZIP Code Settlement
A Massachusetts federal judge ruled on Wednesday that class counsel in a suit brought by consumers who claimed Michaels unfairly collected their ZIP codes couldn't collect fees based on the face value of vouchers offered to the customers, slashing the fee request by about $100,000.

Michaels Stores Settles ZIP Code Collection Suit
A Massachusetts federal judge on Wednesday granted preliminary approval to an $875,000 settlement resolving a class action that accused arts-and-crafts retailer Michaels Stores Inc. of improperly demanding ZIP Codes from its customers during transactions.
