Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. did not breach its contractual duties to insurance agent contractors by forcing them to choose between receiving deferred compensation or selling non-Nationwide insurance products, a Texas federal judge ruled Monday.

An insurance agent group accused Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. in Texas federal court on Friday of breaching agreements with the exclusive independent contractors who sell and market its products to impose compensation and policyholder servicing changes, among others.
