Porsche Cars North America Inc. on Thursday became the latest automaker to be released from a suit by patent holding company Stragent LLC alleging more than 20 companies infringed a patent for voice recognition technology.

Patent-holding company Stragent LLC filed a suit in Texas federal court Tuesday accusing Pioneer Corp. and several automakers, including Chrysler Group LLC and BMW of North America LLC, of infringing a patent related to voice control for a media player.
