An Illinois federal judge on Monday refused to reverse his transfer of a proposed class action over Facebook Inc.'s use of children's likenesses in advertisements to California, saying he no longer has jurisdiction over the case.

Facebook Inc. on Monday asked a federal court in Illinois to dismiss a putative class action accusing the social networking giant of violating state law by using the names and photographs of children for advertising purposes without their consent.
