An Illinois federal judge on Wednesday denied Rogers Cartage Co.'s bid to block an injunction requested by ConocoPhillips Co. that would force the trucking company to begin abatement of the energy giant's property near St. Louis, which it allegedly fouled with PCBs while leasing the land.

Monsanto Co. spinoff Solutia Inc. and Pfizer Inc. subsidiary Pharmacia Corp. on Friday asked a federal judge to reopen a resolved environmental damages case involving Rogers Cartage Co. after the trucking company brought new allegations they say are precluded by an approved settlement.
