Sentence Cut For Rothstein Cohort Who Aided Investigators
Stephen Caputi, an accomplice of Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein, has had his prison term reduced by one-third and most of $29.1 million in restitution removed in light of his assistance leading to several other convictions, including those of the other principals in Rothstein's law firm.

Rothstein Cohort Gets 5 Years For Ponzi Plot
Stephen Caputi, who posed as a banker or settling plaintiff to help now-imprisoned attorney Scott Rothstein fleece investors in a $1.4 billion Ponzi scheme, was sentenced Wednesday to five years in prison and told to cough up $29 million in restitution.
