Haier Pays $3M To Settle Power-Sucking Freezer Suit
Haier America Trading LLC will spend nearly $3 million to settle a proposed California class action accusing it of selling power-draining freezers that consume nearly twice the amount of energy allowed under federal standards, according to an agreement entered Friday.
