The city of South Lake Tahoe on Monday resolved a dispute over its general plan with an environmental group, agreeing to pay its own legal fees in a dismissed California federal suit as long as the environmental group drops its appeal.

A California federal judge on Thursday threw out an environmental challenge to South Lake Tahoe's new general plan, ruling that the League to Save Lake Tahoe had no standing to try to block the plan.
