Acacia Research Corp.'s subsidiary Chalumeau Power Systems LLC ended its patent dispute with tech giant Cisco Systems Inc. and its unit Cisco-Linksys LLC on Friday, the latest parties to settle in a fight over remote device detection technology.

Chalumeau Power Systems LLC on Wednesday hit a slew of technology companies — including Cisco Systems Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Avaya Inc. — with a lawsuit in Delaware alleging infringement of a patent for a remote device detection method.
