A federal judge in Washington state on Monday dismissed a trimmed-down class action accusing BP PLC of misleading shareholders about a corroding Alaska pipeline, saying the lead plaintiffs could no longer assert claims in the case and that a request to substitute new lead plaintiff was not an acceptable way to keep the case alive.
