A Pennsylvania federal judge on Monday found plaintiffs' attorney John Peoples in contempt for allegedly committing eight separate violations of three court orders in connection with his claim that he was cheated out of his share of a $202 million class-action antitrust settlement in 2004.

A Pennsylvania federal judge on Thursday ordered the Internal Revenue Service to cough up all records that mention both attorney John Peoples, who claims he is owed a portion of a $202 million antitrust multidistrict litigation settlement with linerboard manufacturers, and the lawyer who divvied up the award.

Linerboard Atty Sanctioned In $202M Fee Battle
An attorney who claims he was cheated out of his slice of a $202 million antitrust settlement with linerboard manufacturers was slapped with a temporary restraining order Friday barring him from further communication with the lawyer responsible for divvying up the fee awards.
