A New York federal judge on Thursday dismissed a suit over DHL Express (USA) Inc.'s alleged shipping cost overcharges on government contracts, ending a case the Second Circuit had revived on the grounds a federal 180-day period for raising shipping-rate disputes didn't apply to False Claims Act suits.

A New York federal judge on Friday threw out a qui tam suit brought by two former contractors accusing DHL Express USA Inc. of violating the False Claims Act by overcharging the U.S. government for package deliveries, finding the plaintiffs failed to timely contest the shipping rates.
