A Missouri federal judge on Tuesday allowed Hartford Casualty Insurance Co. to make its case as to why a $40 million monetary judgment shouldn't be imposed in a class action against now-bankrupt Hartford policyholder Worldwide Information Inc. over Driver's Privacy Protection Act violations.

A federal judge in Missouri ruled Monday that Worldwide Information Inc. could not resell its entire database of drivers' license information, granting a win to a putative class of Missouri drivers who claimed the disclosures violated the Driver's Privacy Protection Act.
