Peabody Energy Corp. on Thursday sought to dismiss defunct law firm Coudert Brothers LLP's $9 million clawback suit seeking fees for lobbying work the firm and its successor did for Peabody as it fought so-called "black lung" excise taxes, saying it never agreed to pay.
