A New York federal judge on Friday dismissed jeweler Vijay Gold Designs' suit against Helzberg Diamond Shops Inc. over the use of former world champion figure skater Dorothy Hamill's likeness in advertisements after the two agreed to drop the dispute.

A New York federal judge on Friday refused to grant jeweler Vijay Gold Designs an injunction barring Helzberg's Diamond Shops Inc. from using the likeness of former world champion figure skater Dorothy Hamill to advertise a jewelry line, according to a Helzberg attorney.
