An Illinois federal judge on Thursday refused to toss Visual Interactive Phone Concepts Inc.'s lawsuit against U.S. Cellular Corp. for the alleged infringement of two patents covering an interactive mailbox facility system for videophones, saying the patents weren't rendered invalid.
