Fox's 'Past Life' Idea Wasn't Stolen From Screenplay: Judge
A New York federal judge on Thursday dismissed a screenwriter's copyright suit alleging Fox Entertainment Group Inc., Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and the team behind the short-lived TV series "Past Life" of stealing the idea for a paranormal crime drama from his screenplay, saying the two works weren't similar.

Horror Writer Targets Fox In 'Past Life' Script Fight
Horror movie screenwriter Stevan Mena launched a copyright lawsuit against Fox Entertainment Group Inc., Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and others Friday in New York federal court, accusing them of stealing his screenplay and turning it into the failed TV series "Past Life."
