A New York federal judge on Monday entered a judgment against Bloomberg LP, which agreed to pay a photographer $8,500 to settle his copyright case claiming a Bloomberg TV program used one of his photos without permission.

A photographer sued Bloomberg LP on Friday in New York for allegedly using his portrait of the co-founder of Internet pioneer Netscape Communications Corp. as part of a TV news segment without purchasing a contractually required license.
