A California federal judge on Wednesday rebuffed Hulu LLC's bid to toss out a patent infringement suit brought by patent holding company Intertainer Inc. accusing the on-demand streaming service of violating its patent for streaming online videos.

Patent holding company Intertainer Inc. hit popular online video provider Hulu LLC with a lawsuit Monday in California federal court, alleging infringement of a patent covering technology related to streaming video over the Internet.
