DOT Defends Texas Highway Project Over Sierra Objections
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers joined state and federal transportation officials Wednesday in refuting claims by the Sierra Club that a 15-mile Houston tollway project violated environmental standards, saying they took proper steps to ensure construction won't cause a dam breach and flood parts of the city.
