Coca-Cola Kills Mexican Musician's Song Copyright Suit
A Texas federal judge on Friday emphatically dismissed a lawsuit claiming The Coca-Cola Co. and its advertising agency stole a Mexican composer's song and later threatened to murder him, blasting the plaintiff for filing unsupported, time-barred and "rambling" claims.

Advertising agency McCann Erickson and The Coca-Cola Co. asked a Texas federal judge Wednesday to dismiss a Mexican composer's suit claiming his song was used without permission in a 1990s Coca-Cola ad campaign, saying his latest complaint still fails to tie the companies to the supposed infringement.
