A California federal judge ruled Thursday that a The Chubb Corp. subsidiary doesn't have to reimburse the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artists for attorneys' fees from a settlement resolving a "Leave It to Beaver" actor's class action over foreign royalties.

Federal Insurance Co. urged a California federal judge Monday to nix the Screen Actors Guild's bid to recoup a class action settlement it paid to a "Leave It to Beaver" actor over foreign tax royalties, saying the deal was restitution and did not qualify for insurance coverage.
