JPML Tells 6 Discount Club Fraud Suits To Stay Put
The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation refused Friday to unite six proposed class actions in Ohio and elsewhere claiming consumer discount club service Trilegiant Corp. Inc., a private equity firm and several banks and retailers conspired to charge fees to unsuspecting customers.

AmEx Can Arbitrate Discount Club Fraud Claims: Judge
A New York federal judge on Monday agreed to allow American Express Co. to arbitrate the claims of two plaintiffs in a putative class concerning allegedly unauthorized charges to their bank accounts from a private equity-owned consumer discount club service.
