Rival Hollywood Media End Suit Over Stolen Source Code
The owner of The Hollywood Reporter has agreed to pay $162,500 to end a copyright suit brought by the owner of rival entertainment industry publication Deadline.com over allegations that the Reporter lifted source code from its competitor's television news site TVLive.com, according to court documents filed in California federal court.

A publisher of entertainment news sites filed a $5 million copyright infringement lawsuit against The Hollywood Reporter's parent company on Wednesday in California, accusing its rival of lifting source code from a television news website.
