Hyatt Hotels Corp. asked a Texas federal judge Tuesday to throw out a patent suit brought by Variant Holdings LLC against the hotel chain and dozens of other companies, arguing the multidefendant suit should be killed in light of the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act.
