Jury Clears Garmin, Invalidates GPS Patents In $30M Trial
A Nevada jury found Thursday that four patents on GPS technology that Garmin International Inc. was accused of infringing by a patent licensing company are invalid as obvious, in a case where plaintiff Silver State Intellectual Technologies Inc. was seeking $30 million in damages.

Garmin Hit With Infringement Suit Over 9 GPS Patents
A technology consulting company on Thursday hit Garmin International Inc. with a suit in Nevada alleging the GPS manufacturer's devices infringe the company's patents covering navigation systems.
