Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. has admitted to infringing three Purdue Pharma LP patents and agreed to waive possible antitrust claims under a deal to resolve litigation over the painkiller Oxycontin, which won approval from a New York federal judge Tuesday.

Purdue Pharma LP accused Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc. of infringing three of its patents for OxyContin in a lawsuit made public Tuesday, marking Purdue's latest challenge to the generics maker's attempt to market its own version of the popular painkiller.
