An Illinois federal jury released Florida-based rock band A Day To Remember from a 2006 recording contract Tuesday, finding that the band had fulfilled the five-album deal and awarding its members $4 million in withheld proceeds from music and merchandise sales.

Members of the rock band A Day To Remember appeared in federal court Monday in the hopes of convincing a Chicago-based jury to release them from a five-album recording contract and grant them the copyright to past songs, but they will have to overcome the recording company's arguments that the albums in question haven't materialized.
