China Pacific Must Defend Whirlpool Over Deadly AC Fire
A Michigan federal judge on Thursday found that China Pacific Property Insurance Co. Ltd. breached its contract with Whirlpool Corp. when it refused to pay defense costs related to a deadly air conditioner fire, dismissing the insurer's arguments as "senseless" and "perverse."
