A Massachusetts federal judge on Friday tossed Keurig Inc.'s patent infringement suit against rival Rogers Family Co., finding that Rogers' single-serving cartridges designed to work in Keurig java-brewing machines don't copy Keurig's patents on the pods.

Popular coffee brewer manufacturer Keurig Inc. hit Rogers Family Co. with a lawsuit Wednesday in Massachusetts federal court, claiming its single-serving coffee cartridges designed to be compatible with Keurig brewers infringe three patents.
