The New York Times Co. and AOL Inc. on Thursday reached an agreement resolving the newspaper's trademark and unfair competition suit over the Huffington Post's "Parentlode" blog, which the Times alleged had a confusingly similar name to its own "Motherlode" parenting blog.

The New York Times Co. on Tuesday asked for a preliminary injunction barring AOL Inc.'s Huffington Post from calling its parenting blog "Parentlode," a name the Times claims violates its trademark and unfairly competes with its "Motherlode" blog.
